I would not recommend dogs on this tour as you will be in and out of several historical buildings where dogs would not be welcome ( not to mention eating establishments if you elect the full day tour). The length of tours vary depending on your needs/wants. My sons and I did 5.5 hours costing $650.00 ( with a nice tip) and it was worth every penny. I hope this is helpful.
