Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan left a hospital in India’s financial capital Mumbai on Tuesday, less than a week after he suffered knife injuries in a scuffle with an intruder at his house, local media reported.

Doctors say Saif Ali Khan is recovering well after being stabbed multiple times by a burglar who broke into his Mumbai home.

A man thought to be a citizen of Bangladesh was arrested in India's financial capital Mumbai on Sunday and is considered the prime suspect in the stabbing of Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan, police said.

Police arrested a 30-year-old man in India’s financial capital Mumbai whom they said was considered the prime suspect in the stabbing of Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan.

Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was recovering and out of danger following surgery at a Mumbai hospital after he was stabbed by a suspected burglar who entered his home in the early hours of Thursday.

The attack happened early in the early hours of the morning in Mumbai, where he lives in an apartment with his wife, Bollywood star Kareena Kapoor Khan, and children. The 54-year-old reportedly sustained six knife wounds, one of which was close to his spine, and underwent emergency surgery.

Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was attacked by an intruder with a knife on January 16 inside his home. The accused reportedly stabbed the actor six times, resulting in serious injuries. Since then, Saif has been undergoing treatment at Mumbai's Lilavati Hospital.

Saif Ali Khan, one of Bollywood's most adored actors, has been discharged from the hospital and is back home after his recovery. Post attack, his five days recovery was challenging, but with the unwavering support of his family,
