BALTIMORE -- The Maryland State Police was busy on Tuesday as winter weather made it difficult for drivers. Troopers responded to more than 150 crashes and 98 inoperable or unattended vehicles between 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. Overall, during that timeframe, officers responded to 424 calls for service across the state.

Maryland is cleaning up from a mid-February snow storm. Schools all over the state closed Wednesday after dismissing early Tuesday.

The Maryland State Police (MSP) is asking drivers to stay off the road after answering over 700 calls for service during the winter storm on Tuesday. MSP said from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Feb. 11, troopers responded to 424 calls for service,
