There is no difference between a 12VHPWR and a 12V-2x6 cable. The changes in revising the 12VHPWR connector and renaming it to 12V-2x6 were only made to the connectors on the graphics card side. Power supplies should also use the 12V-2x6 connector if available directly on a modular power supply.
