Roadies at Penn’s Peak has alright food but has an awesome view if you eat on the deck. They have deck parties there over the summer too with free bands they have the dates listed on their website

Mar 21, 2022 · Jim Thorpe's direct access to the D&L Trail and Glen Onoko/Lehigh Gorge State makes it generally more scenic. The railroad's train rides are very popular too. Crowded nice weather weekends can suck because of limited highway access into town due to the river and mountains plus parking is very limited.

Mar 13, 2023 · You should definitely find a place or two that'll be open late but Jim Thorpe isn't as far away from everything as people think, it's nestled into a nice valley that isolates it but movie theaters, 2am bars, and other such late night stuff is 20 minutes away at most.

There are different levels of seating and prices; standard, crown, Dome & Lounge. Seating is open on all coaches. They also run trains and RDC's from Reading to Jim Thorpe and towns in between. Soon there will be steam trains from Reading to Jim Thorpe and from the neighboring town of Nesquehoning to Pittston and Tunkhannock.
