Louder sounds, like things that are really close including your own movement and gunfire, are going to be very loud.

In general it makes sense to be able to turn off the lights on your router at night, because these are quite bright. But no, that's not what it does. Night mode lets you turn off the screen and only the screen.

The time I have to play games is usually only at night, but screens without something like f.lux is a *huge* no-no for me before bed. I have troubles falling asleep and the blue light from screens makes it nearly impossible, so I basically can't play my Switch in portable mode most of the time.

Oct 25, 2021 · From my testing in Alpha on both Series X and One X, Xbox One has a reduced set of features. Night mode is available for controlling theme and brightness of display, controller button and console button. It seems it doesn’t support colour tone changes or colourblind modes.

Sep 19, 2022 · At night, when the bedroom is dark, but the bedroom lights are on low, the TV turns on to “Art Mode”, and turns off 1 minute after you turn the lights off. In a morning, the TV comes on to Art Mode when you turn the room lights on (so far so good).

Jun 5, 2023 · Most people actually recommend night mode. I’ve played pretty extensively on all settings and i’ll occasionally switch. Night mode makes it’s easier to hear things in general, however i find hi-fi to be much nicer for distance which helps a lot with figuring out exactly where they are given context.

Second, night mode doesn't really work for games, sure, you can reduce blue light but intense flashes will still be there and still mess with your brain.
